Daniel Egnéus is a renowned artist and illustrator with successful creative collaborations worldwide with publishing houses, magazines, global brands, galleries and art fairs. The artistic work of Daniel Egnéus spawns from a prodigious talent that is derived from multiple contemporary reflections on creativity and visual communication from the cross-border fields of art, illustration and design. His forceful, often very dramatic multilayered illustrations are a veritable explosion of black ink-lines and shocks of outburst vibrant color reminding the dynamics of action painting. Egnéus characteristic stroke, line, manifold perspectives and elaborated mosaics of simultaneously coexisting worlds reveals the full force of contemporary art, drawing and illustration.

Daniel Egnéus has illustrated mumerous books: Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, Anasi Boys, Black Dig and The Monarch of the Glen, 2016, The Voyage of Argo for Folio Society in London 2014, The Little Red Riding Hood for Harper Collins in New York 2011 and The Hot Dog-Cook Book in France for which he won the Prix Gourmand 2008 for “Best Illustrated Cookbook in France”. He has also illustrated several books of poems by Aleksander Puskjin and childrens books.

Egnéus illlustrations are published in Time Magazine, Marie Claire, Velvet Magazine, Madame Figaro, Die Welt and more. Among his global brand customers are Haagen-Dasz (worldwide campaign 2008), BMW (Awarded Best Art Directed campaign in Germany 2008), Pepsi Cola Espagna (limited edition cans and bottle-design 2008), H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) SWE, Playboy, O2 UK,  Penguin Books, Philip Morris, Die Welt, Suddeutsche Zeitung, Random House, Drambuie Whiskey for which he gained an award in 2004 and Pori Jazz Festival for which he was voted best illustrator in March 2005 by the Assosciation of Illustrators in the UK. He is a regular collaborator with the National Theater in Greece for whom he produced illustrated theater programs for A Man for All Seasons, Mefisto and for Luigi Pirandello as well as the posters and the animated spots for Greek TV for Athens Festival.

Egnéus art work has been exhibited in art galleries in London, Berlin, Paris, Miami and Athens. He has performed at Art Basel Miami 2009 doing live drawings while presenting a book featuring his illustrations and his drawing have been exhibited in Paris at SOON the Contemporary Editions Art Fair 2014  

In 2005 Sky Channel dedicated a 15-minute documentary about his work entitled “From Sweden with Love”. In 2004, the Italian publishing house Coniglio Editore published his first collection of autobiographical comics.
