THE TRUE BLUE COLLECTION by art something...

The True Blue Collection is a serie of prints where a selection of sayings articulated by admirable persons has been chosen to describe a certain state of mind, a creed or a view. The aim of the collection is a modest attempt for a playful blink at conceptual art to reduce art to pure information and play down the art object by letting the viewer fill it with personal emotions, images and meaning.

The True Blue Collection may by words construct a pessimistic impression but the intention is that the prints should perform a little bit as an antidote to the simplistic ”positive thinking" that surround us in order to reflect on things from an anti-optimistic perspective that is so essential to human nature. The True Blue Collection is a limited edition art prints curated by art something... Every Print is sealed by art something...

Logophiles = lovers of words or lovers of language
We love words, we love language and we love the power of the word!

That is the reason that art something… decided to have a selection of art made only by words. Everyone has a different visual association of a word or concept even though we share a common language. Feel free to interpret, fill with meaning and visualize what you see written in words! Words and Language are important for conceptual art and many artists have used words and language instead of brush and canvas to give emphasis on ideas instead of visual forms. From the mid 1960s the Art & Language movement investigates a common social base for a conversation in order to make other kinds of work inside and outside the field of art.
